I was challenged to choose a band to create an album cover for. I chose Valuemart - a local D.I.Y. goth band from California whose raw, gritty energy stood out to me.

 

I shot all the photos during one of their live shows. Later, I created moody tones to create a visual style inspired by ‘80s Dark Wave and underground goth aesthetics.

 

This was a super hands-on project where I got to combine live photography with graphic design in a way that felt true to the band’s identity.
